Description:
Houston based non-profit 501(c) 3 status, cutting edge contemporary
& traditional African Dance Troupe seeking part-time fundraiser who is
connected to the Houston arts and entertainment community to help
procure project and / or seed money totaling $500,000 or more for
upcoming Programs, community projects and The World Dance &
Music Festival, which will feature and National and International Touring
Artists, with all live music and dance. We are looking for someone who
could eventually become the Director of Development for the troupe.
The organization is in new developmental stages, one must build from
this point up!

The fundraiser is expected to research, identify and make contact with
several organizations or individuals that could potentially serve as
donors. Ideally, this person will have a network of potential contacts
/ clients. The fundraiser will also be responsible for design and
implementation of several fundraising initiatives beginning immediately.
The fundraiser will also be responsible for generating solicitation letters
as well as collecting important documentation as required by the
funders. The volunteer positions could turn into full time employment.
for committed volunteers, upon successfully completing fundraising
events.
